Beckton Sewage Treatment Works

Beckton is the largest sewage treatment works in the UK and is located in the London Borough of Newham.

The sewage treatment works serves a wide area of London to the north of the River Thames, and treats daily sewage from 3.4 million Londoners.

Beckton also has a sludge powered generator, which produces enough energy to power over 7,000 homes every year.

The generator is our largest accredited producer of green energy within Greater London.
